Case Study: Multinational Client with
Multinational Packaging Needs
One of our clients is a multinational organization with headquarters in Sweden, product management in Boston, MA and Nashua, NH and Marketing in Portland, OR. Known for its industrial products, they were struggling to launch new products for the consumer market.
Our client outsourced the manufacturing of 15 SKUs to seven different Chinese and Taiwanese factories. They had limited knowledge in the production of packaging and wanted to be relieved of managing the flow of materials between factories and only wanted to place orders with their Chinese factories for finished goods.
TPH was engaged to design and produce the retail packaging across multiple product lines that emphasized the high quality and innovation of the products. TPH worked closely with the product and marketing teams to create their structural brand that would cross over all products. The packaging incorporated 2pc vacuum formed inserts with accessory and product boxes. Special print treatments were added
to provide matte/gloss finishes for enhanced visual appeal.
TPH was further tasked with managing the packaging supply chain with our client’s overseas factories.
Once our client settled on the structural designs, TPH representatives worked closely with all of their global team members and factories to establish the coordinating contacts and relationships to manage the orderly flow of packaging and supporting components between supply chains. TPH works closely with all parties today and provides packaging to 12 factories in China and Taiwan.
TPH continues to develop new products working with the US-based team members and then coordinates with the factories to ensure the timely
and seamless introduction of new products.
With the rapid introduction of new products, our client realized 20%+ gains in sales growth and is expanding their product line monthly.
“We don’t know how we would have gotten all of our new products to market without TPH. They were easy to work with, extremely responsive and even helped us get approvals within our global bureaucracy! Thank you TPH!” – VP Product Development
