Our History: Custom Retail Displays & Packaging Since 1965

Packaging: Our First

We opened ours doors in 1965 under the name The Packaging House, Inc. as one of the original outsourcing organizations in packaging. Since then, we’ve grown exponentially, expanding our offerings to include POP displays and a broader total brand focus.

We quickly established ourselves as a market leader due to our ability to supply multiple retail packaging and point of purchase (POP) display materials from one source. Our original accounts included well-known names like Bell Electric, F&F Cough Drops, and Sweetheart Cup.

1970s

In the 70s, we moved into the fast food business. We designed the french fry and Happy Meal cartons for McDonald’s, plus the carry out boxes for Red Barn, Henry’s Drive-In and Carvel. We were suppliers to Borden Foods divisions and supplied Colgate Toothpaste with packaging kits for their professional division. One of our customers, Fisher Pen Company went to the moon on an Apollo Mission.

Our product mix grew with the introduction of Semi Permanent Displays. In 1978, we joined POPAI (Point-of-Purchase and Advertising Institute). Also that same year, we opened Noma Industries, the largest producer of Christmas lights in the US. We supplied their packaging for over 2 decades.

1980s

During the 80s, we further expanded our product lines by supplying McDonald’s with injection molded Halloween Pumpkins and Summer Sand Pails Rakes. We found a new market, Educational Publishing, and quickly became a leader in creating Teacher Student classroom kit packaging. We also took chewing gum merchandising to a new level by creating a gum package for “Silly Soda” by Leaf Confectionary.

1990s

In this decade, we entered the permanent POP market. We gained a foothold in the pharmaceutical Industry with promotional packaging POP for Searle, Pharmacia, Pfizer and Takeda.

2000s

In 2005, we decided we needed a name that more accurately reflected our evolution to a global supplier of packaging and POP displays. We became TPH Global Solutions and today we supply packaging displays from Asia, Canada, Mexico as well as the United States.
